let’s get all sentimental.

I once told Taco (or Hugo or Jarred or Noah?) that it’s perfectly normal for a writer (fiction, nonfiction, song writers alike) to dislike his/her own work. I myself can’t bear to hear the mention of Quietness, even though I did like it very much, once. But as I went through my unfinished works tonight, I came across pieces I totally adore and would not want to give them up, and among them, one that I absolutely love, one that I have warm and fuzzy feelings when I read it and wanna read it again and again and again.

So. Your works are your babies; you should at least love some of them. (Even thought right now I’m in a total anti-children mode ever since the baseball incident.)

剛剛只是要找我修改過的 After Dark 的歌詞, 卻發現過去這一年多零零散散寫的詞, 有的幾乎完成, 有的只是破碎的片段還待拼湊. 更驚人的是, 我發現了兩篇小說及兩篇 memoir 性質的文章. 一篇小說寫好了完整的架構, 其餘都只有開頭第一段. 明明在 07 年初夏上完 Creative Writing 的課之後, 我已經認定自己不是寫 fiction 的料了. 什麼時候跑出這兩篇東西, 而且, 如果我寫了這些東西, 為什麼我還是認定自己沒有辦法生出 fiction 的點子呢? 看來我對於很多已經下既定結論的東西, 都應該要拿出來重新檢視才是.

Low vs. Diamond 真好聽. 會被 w 嫌做作的嗓音, 在這樣的夜裡聽來正恰到好處.

那個星期一颱風剛過, 台北的雨勢還是不小, 全家到巷口吃了乾杯, 然後我們包袱收收, 搭上往台南的高鐵. 高鐵真的很快, 閒聊兩句瞇個眼迅雷不及掩耳地就到了目的地, 殺個我措手不及! 台南也飄著細雨, 但比起台北仍顯得平靜許多. 我們搭上阿姨的車前往台南市(大概吧.) 台南的巷子裡有好多有趣的小餐廳, 各有不同的特色而且看起來都很精緻. 最後我們到了一家有小火鍋的店, 然後講了半天小火鍋的w, 在服務生來點菜時說, “我要義大利麵.”

隔天早上起來, 阿姨買了虱目魚粥回來. w 說是要給我嚐嚐台南式的早餐. 因為到處暗藏魚刺, 我第一次吃得比他慢. 出門辦了新的 3G 手機, 紫色的, 果然大家骨子裡都有點妖. 又開車跑了大老遠去買花生糖跟桂花綠茶, 中午吃魚土魠魚羹, 這是今天魚之三部曲的第二章. 在家裡鬼混了一下, 又出門去買有名的老雙全紅茶外帶去配聽說也很有名的下大道米糕. 醬子(如下圖)… 不到一百塊台幣. 真是台北國人我難以想像的呀~ (其實也還好, 我本來就不知物價. XD)
吃飽喝足之後, 我們熱血地追逐著夕陽 (其實是個巧合), 來到四草大橋. 大片大片的天空讓我吃了好大一驚, 我從來都不知道台灣也可以有這樣的地方 (我是台北俗…) 吹著風看海, 好開心.

天色漸暗, 我們依依不捨的離開四草大橋 (其實是w 說海看久了很creepy.) 前往下一個目的地: 安平豆花. 然後我發現我來過. 囧撲. 接下來就是這天的重頭戲, 夜市. 不過在此之前還繞去松之燻買個土產給阿媽.

夜市裡滿滿的都是人, 我們逛了好多小東西, 手機套, 耳環, 各式各樣的包包和便宜的T-shirt; 看別人玩遊戲, 撈魚, 還有不知道為什麼有人會去喊價的拍賣會. 賣按摩球的老闆娘還幫我按摩了整個背, 但我還是沒有買. 最後我只買了個木馬耳環, 但還是很開心, 夜市真好玩!

然後這一天就在魚之三部曲的鱔魚意麵下結束了.

Those children then becomes parents who realize their dreams by sending their children to all kinds of talent school, ballet, piano, and etc. Then the third generation grows up and and realizes their dreams by not asking their kids to do anything.

Carrie Ann has spoken for us, Toni Braxton got kicked out of the show for this? (after Cloris “danced”.) Seriously, please don’t vote for her anymore.

從遙遠的美國東部長途拔涉, 經過一個禮拜終於到達了加州. 應該明天就會出現在前往北加州東灣的車車裡. 我好感動喔…

they give for winning the World Series.

I didn’t care for either team very much. It would be a feel good story, if the Rays, being the team at the very bottom last year, win it. Yet they lack the composure of a champion. (But do the Phillies?) All I wanted was to see Cupcakes pitch a good and get a win. And, boy, had he done that! He pitched a good game, 6+ innings, 7 strikeout with 99 pitches, and in between he managed to hit his first career homerun and became the 15th pitcher in the history to hit a dinger in the World Series.

I’m so so so so so happy for him.

規定就是規定, 而且還是你們核準的規定耶. 不照著規定做, 到時候 auditor 查來倒楣的是我吧? 喔不對… 倒楣的是名作家. 講得好像我愛找麻煩一樣. 真是莫名其妙. 難怪…

終於聽了Keane 的新專輯. 第一首剛響起時, 我心裡冒出的第一個念頭是 “這什麼鬼啊!” 但是一首一首接著聽下去, 竟然也漸入佳境. 最後幾首還讓我很感動, “這真的是我愛的 Keane 啊.” 回頭再重聽幾次, 前面幾首也沒那麼怪了.

還不錯聽, 但我覺得這兩張都無法超越第一張. :p

Cloris is still in the show. I can’t freaking believe it.

It’s great to write done a todo list and not doing any of the things listed.

(well, I did watch TV to my heart’s content, which were 2 episodes of the Dead Zone.)

Hold on here before you judge.
It was totally justified not to have done my chords cos I worked my *beep* off today at work and added to my misery, I forgot to bring my dinner home so I had to eat instant noodles.

But I can’t say my evening wasn’t productive (gee… what a poisonous word.) Aside from watching TV, which was very fulfilling and relaxing, I wrote a 7 pages long “Intro to Cake” on ModernRock board, in hopes that I can get more people hooked to Cake’s music. Now I can hit the hay without feeling guilty. :D

Sometimes, there’s no right or wrong choices. You just have to make a decision knowing that whatever you choose, someone is bound to get hurt. There’s nothing we can do about it. That’s life.

- review Hravaski unit 2 and start unit 3.

- read a segment of Che (before forgetting all about the previous chapters)

- TV (Life, probably)

- clean sink

- reorganize middle drawer

前半場真的有在 IMAX 看的價值. 故事步調畫面全都掌握得很好. 在這種電影裡大魔頭總是在死了一堆人的最後關頭被隨便地解決掉, 不過這部份我們就不用強求了. :p

It’s everything that I’ve expected. I’m so very glad that I went to see this movie. It didn’t let me down. Not even one bit. It’s cute and sweet and refreshing. (Well, some parts of it were gross, I’d have to admit.) It’s sincere and unaffected. I just wish that I was watching it with you. I can imagine squeezing you hand and you and I exchanging smiles during the movie. :)

過去一個多星期都十點十一點左右乖乖上床睡了, 今天竟然搞到現在還睡不著 (上床後起來兩三次了) 本來是以為沒跟某人講晚安電話的關係, 現在想想有可能是因為今天一大早四點多起來看 Chelsea 比賽, 然後又從六點半睡到十一點, 生理時鐘又亂掉了. (不過我覺得晚安電話還是佔一部份.) 剛剛起來, 決定如果還沒一點的話我就要來一顆 AMPRAZO. 吃了之後去查一下 AMPRAZO 到底是什麼, 結果原來是抗焦慮的. XD 又跑到失眠板 (前陣子才把它從我的最愛拿掉, 沒想到又需要了) 看一下有沒有人吃過 AMPRAZO, 發現它的副作用是嗜睡跟記憶力變差. 嗜睡我是有感覺… 下次不吃了啦. 我吃藥就是為了有好的睡眠品質然後白天精神好呀. 不過呢, 我似乎能感覺到它的作用了, 剛剛搞得我無法入睡的頭痛漸漸不見, 全身肌肉感覺也放鬆了… (其實是麻痺了嗎?) Anyways, time to sleep.
