Hard Knock Life

Friday, December 10th, 2004

After Tomorrow, there's another lively and lovely song from Annie
The Hard-Knock Life
I watched the 99 TV movie version the day before yesterday and loved it.

(though apparently not enough to make me wanna add it to my collection.)

The Hard-Knock life scene is very very well-presented, Victor is ...adorable(?)

however, i don't like the famous 4-time Tony [...]

Not good

Friday, December 10th, 2004

Not good at all.
I found myself more and more reluctant to speak English.
It's all California's fault ><
I really get little chance to talk in English
so when the time comes...I'd try to avoid it.

Wonder what a publishing job would be like.
Gotta find out.
It's no use holding unrealistic fantasies

Matthew Broderick

((Now Watching - The Music Man))

[Lyrics] Perfekte Welle - Juli

Wednesday, December 8th, 2004

Perfekte Welle - juli
Mit jeder Welle kam ein Traum
doch Träume gehen vorüber
dein Brett ist verstaubt
deine Zweifel schäumen über
du hast dein Leben lang gewartet
hast gehofft das es sie gibt
du hast den Glauben fast verloren
hast dich nicht vom Fleck bewegt
jetzt kommt sie langsam auf dich zu
das Wasser schlägt dir ins Gesicht
du siehst dein Leben wie ein Film
du [...]

Und Wenn Ein Lied

Wednesday, December 8th, 2004

Und Wenn Ein Lied - Söhne Mannheims
Und wenn ein Lied meine Lippen verlässt,
Dann nur damit Du Liebe empfängst.
Durch die Nacht und das dichteste Geäst,
Damit Du keine Ängste mehr kennst.
Sag ein kleines Stückchen Wahrheit und sieh,
Wie die Wüste lebt.
Schaff ein kleines Stückchen Klarheit.
Und schau wie sich der Schleier hebt.
Eine Wüste aus Beton und Asphalt,
Doch, sie [...]

California Driving

Wednesday, December 8th, 2004

They say, Californian don't know how to drive when it rains.
It is so TRUE!
Actually, in my HUMBLE opinion, they don't know how to drive whether it rains or not.
When I first got here, I was amazed that how people act however they feel like.
They don't signal, they change lanes as they please,
and they're like [...]

B5 Quote

Thursday, December 2nd, 2004

all-time-favorite quote from B5
So much has been lost, so much forgotten.
So much pain, so much blood. And for what, I wonder.
The past tempts us, the present confuses us, and the future frightens us ...
and our lives slip away, moment by moment, lost in that vast, terrible in-between.
But there is still time to seize that last [...]

Babylon5 s2e20 The Long, Twilight Struggle

Thursday, December 2nd, 2004

No dictator, no invader, can hold an imprisoned population by the force of arms
forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against that power governments, and tyrants, and armies can not stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once. We will teach it to them again. Though
it take a thousand years, we [...]

Babylon5 s2e22 The Fall of Night

Thursday, December 2nd, 2004

"It was the end of the year 2259 and the war was upon us.
As anticipated, a few days after the Earth-Centauri treaty was announced,
the Centauri widened their war to include many of the Non-Aligned Worlds.
And there was another war brewing closer to home.
A personal one, whose cost would be higher than any of us could [...]

Silk Stalkings

Wednesday, December 1st, 2004

Surprisingly found out NetFlix has Silk Stalkings(Season 1), one of my favorite
(and one of my very first) show in high school, so I rent it. I know it must be a
bit disappointing, afterall it's a 12 year old production. Plots, effect that were
considered cool back then must seem very funny now. Phi refuses to watch
McGayvor [...]

Smells Gorgeous!

Wednesday, December 1st, 2004

I think I said it once, but I must say it again.
The new fragrances this year are FANTASTIC!
Crabtree & Evelyn's Sarawak, L'Occitane's Verbena, and Origin's Ginger.
All so sweet yet refreshing!
But they're so expensive at the same time :(
So for now, the only thing I got was Body Shop's Grapeseed body scrub
(huh!? )
It's the only thing [...]
