This was a tear jerking game (at least up until the part I stopped listening.) A's was down by 6-0, then gradually, 6-3, 7-3, 7-5, and then 7-9. This was why I love the Green and Gold. Later, the score was tied again at 10-10, at the bottom of 8th, [...]
First off, Piazza stays red hot! And I love Ellis (and his beautiful bare-handed catch.) And Haren looked steadier today. Pitched 7 innings, gave up 7 hits but had 7 strikeouts as well.
Oh, and an implausible IBB to Kotsay.

This series against the Angels was so much fun.
Game 1 was the resurrection of recent-announced-dead A's offense.
Game 2 was Buck show. Buck went 4-5 in that game and had 3 RBIs (ie. 3 of the 4 runs were contributed by him) and ended the game with a saving catch.

A's 不知道要叫誰先發的比賽, Joe K 確定被下放到牛棚, Braden 則被提了上來. 另外打擊總是被人罵得亂七八糟的 Kendall 被 Chicago Cubs 交易走了. 其實有點感傷, 我一直都還蠻喜歡他的. (我不信任 Suziki 啦!) 不過他好像本來就會走, 現在換點新人來還是好事?

最近因為 A's 而搞得自己心情很沮喪, chun 就對我說 You love the A's, but have they ever loved you back? 這句話出自於美國版的 Fever Pitch (我不確定是 Hornby 寫的還是改編劇本的人加的.) 真是如當頭棒喝. 要怎麼在對球隊不離不棄的同時, 也不讓它(們)太過影響自己的生活? 不論是藍軍魂還是綠帽迷, 我都算是新到不能再新, 比起那些隨便就如數家珍的老兵差得多了. 不過我一股腦投入的衝勁也是非常熱烈. 所以我決定去看 Hornby 的書, 即使內容是關於 Arsenal, 我可能會看得很痛苦... XD

今天下午雙城跟白襪的比賽, 竟然打到 20-14. 我剛好看到最後一個 K (再Gameday上)
再三分就可以破美聯單場比賽積分最多的紀錄了!
上周末跟 Yankees 的比賽, 剛剛晃 MLB 上面 A's 的討論區, 有白目 Yankees 迷來嗆聲, 結果他嗆的內容竟然包括 "你們的高速公路 280, 880 很弱!" 什麼跟什麼啊! XD
那天我們從 McAfee 出來, 看到球場有一面旗幟寫著 AL 20-Win Streak 紀錄. 後來不小心看到資料寫說 2002 年 A's 的20場連勝紀錄中, 第 20 場非常的具戲劇性. 從一開始 11-0 領先, 後來竟然被追到平手, 最後誰的 walk-off HR 12-11 拿下比賽.

短短一個月的時間, 我已經把 Ellie 的身形摸得很清楚了 (呃, 這樣講好像怪怪的.)
他打擊傳球接球甚至是與隊友擊掌的姿態,
我可以在人群中, 或是在看不到背號的照片裡認出他來.
我最喜歡他打擊完那一刻右手停在胸前的樣子, 就像他的人一樣, 沉穩, 優雅, 內斂.
昨天比賽第四局時 Huston Street 到樓上轉播室當 Ray Fosse 還有 Glen Kuiper 的特別來賓.
(He is pretty darn cute, don't you think?)
Huston 回答了一些問題, 不小心就幫 A's 加油. Ray 他們開玩笑說, "嘿~ 你在電視上不能偏心." Huston 不滿, "開什麼玩笑, these are my fellows!" Ray 連忙安撫他, "好啦可以啦... 我也希望每天比賽我們能有一局是偏心的轉播. "
其中他們問了 Huston 與他爸爸的關係. 他爸爸是前美式足球員, 他聊了他爸爸的教育態度. 另外也提到他終於在 Taxes 買了個 condo, 搬出他父母的家. 他之前一直被其他隊員笑, 因為他還跟父母同住. (這就讓我想到 2005 年的 A's 廣告. 裡面 [...]

李唱那買來的 Lenny DiNardo 讓我們 7-11 輸掉. 難得 offense 那麼賞臉, 跑了七分. 卻仍然不敵 DiNardo 在第三局丟掉的六分, 還有之後牛棚穩定地放火.

雖然我討厭綠色，但我不得不同意黃綠相間的 Oakland A's，靠著海邊總有加州招牌藍天相伴的綠蔭 McAfee 球場真是非常漂亮。去年秋天我戴著 Chelsea 圍巾陪來訪的高中同學去看了場 Oakland A's 對 Boston Red Sox 的比賽，流著東岸人血液的我， 支持 Red Sox 是很自然的事（明明是紐約州，卻支持 Red Sox 而非 Yankees，那又是另一個故事了。）最後 Red Sox 以 0-9 慘敗，但其實我也不很放在心上。
上周末從紐約 Charles 來找我玩（他可是貨真價實的 Boston 血），系壘出身的我們，當然要一起去看一場 A's 的比賽。這次看的是運動家對克里夫蘭印地安人（Cleveland Indians，俗稱笑臉人）的比賽。我跟 Cleveland 無親無故，於是轉向支持本地的 Oakland A's。那場比賽 A’s 從頭落後到九局下半，在兩人出局、好多觀眾提前離場這樣看來絕望局勢下，Bradley 的全壘打追平了比分。正當我在想該不會要打到延長賽時，指定打擊 Jack Cust 的再見全壘打粉碎了印地安人兩個多小時的好心情。這樣的熱血讓我漸漸開始注意這支球隊，(當然一方面也是因為英超 06/07 賽季結束了, 沒比賽看有點空虛。) A's [...]
Darn!! 根本就打不出去. 好悶啊...
至少沒有讓 Schilling 拿到 no hitter.
今天 Swisher 終於結束連續三振的命運打出一個 single 並且送某 K 回家. 恭喜恭喜! :D
Ellis 還是一樣很棒. 不過今天是守備比較好看. A's 五次雙殺 XD
這場實在是太精彩了, 一定要記一下.
非常慶幸我決定明天不去現場看松阪大輔(我跟他又不熟=_=), 今天在家看電視轉播!
第一局上半 Red Sox 兩人出局後 Ortis 一個全壘打, Red Sox 領先一分.
二局下半 Crosby 被保送, Kotsay single, 然後今天的 Mark Ellis 一個 triple 把他們都送回家, A's 逆轉領先一分. 沒想到在沒人出局三壘有人(Ellis)的情況下, 綠帽竟然連這一分都拿不下來, 結束了第二局.
三局上三上三下.
四局上三上三下, 四局下輪到 Ellis 一個 Solo HR 發洩剛剛被留在三壘上的怨氣! 兩人出局的情況下, Travis Buck 一個斷棒 double 將自己送上二壘, 沒能再前進.
五上又三上三下, Haren 不愧是 A's 當紅投手! 五下只見幾個人在休息區把之前 Buck 斷成三截的棒子用膠帶黏回去.
六下 Ellis 打了一個 double, 可惜這局沒拿分. [...]
今天早上去完教會, 咬了顆 donut 便驅車前往 Club Sport.
A's v Twins 的比賽於下午一點開打, 我準備一邊看球一邊運動, 這樣就不違背我一系列只看一場的原則了, 因為是順便嘛. 然而人算不如天算, 我周密的計畫 (12:10 主日結束, 到 Walmart 買電池, 12:40 到 Club Sport 換好衣服拿好裝備 - 內含 Lawrence Block 有聲書的隨身聽 + 耳機, 一邊跑步一邊聽個二十分鐘 LB 講關於寫作的訣竅, 就可以看 A's 再度痛宰(?) Twins.) 竟然被梯外飛來的 Gaints 打亂了!
12:50 Gaints v Phillies 竟然只進行到七局上半, Phillies 以一分領先, 好不容易拖拖拉拉來到了九局上, Phillies 竟然硬是要守不住 Gaints 讓他們追平了比分. 此時我對兩隊的怨恨高漲到了極點. (因為這場比賽結束之前, FSN [...]

繼利記的 Xabi Alonso (orz) 以及 Chelsea 開板板主以及另外兩個 Chelsea 板的女板友還有 Ethan 之後 (這些都跟我不同年), 終於出現一個跟我同年同月同日生的名人(?)了!

七點從床上跳起來, 雖然哀怨為何連續兩個周末都無法好好補眠,
但06/07賽季最後一場比賽當然要準時起來收看, 有始有終, 三個月後再迎接新賽季!
沒想到前晚開開心心連上放著的 StarSports 播得竟然是雪聯的悲情比賽
(按進去沒看清楚, 還以為第一個連結就是 Chelsea 的嘛)
堂堂聯賽亞軍的最後一場比賽竟然沒有轉播可看, 真是 #!%@...
看了十分鐘文轉我決定這不值得我犧牲睡眠, 於是我又倒頭回去睡,
好不容易撐到十點起床 (因為我一直想跳起來看戰況),
起來看到終場比分我忍不住在心裡暗罵...
又平手! =_=
已經連續五場聯賽悶平, 雖然已經無關緊要, 但總讓人對 Chelsea 的進攻力很是擔心啊.
只能安慰自己, 下周末的比賽才是最重要的,

今天 Oakland A's 的對手是 Cleveland Indians, 我們買到本壘後面的位子, 真是夢魘.
(大學時有無數次被棒壘球砸到的經驗... orz)
因為跟笑臉人(馬上把ptt A's 板用的暱稱學起來了) 不熟, 當然還是支持當地球隊啊!
好歹他們不久後也要搬來 Fremont 了. 話說幫主場隊加油感覺真不錯.

但我是會看比賽的，從小就愛看奧運的體操跟跳水，國中時看 NBA，高中在補習班看帥哥...呃, 這好像不算，大學開始看起我本來很討厭的棒壘球 (不過只看我們系隊打啦 orz )，還有我們系很強的排球 (只看不打，排球仍然是我的夢魘，) 也看過幾場我們系的足球，02年的世界盃當然沒也錯過。不過來美國後，我倒是一場美式足球都沒有看過。
最近看了幾場，Germany vs. Coasta Rica 看了五分鐘就去上班，England 對 Paraquey 有看完，Argentina vs. Ivory Coast 算是不錯精彩的，Argentina 的傳球很流暢真是賞心悅目。United States vs. Czech Republic 看了五分鐘，看來美國會被痛宰就開開心心地去上班。昨天午休看了 Brazil vs. Croatia，看我的 blog 長相就知道，我已經變成 Croatia 迷了。Croatia 真有種魅力，讓人忍不住一直想看下去，看著看著，心就偏像他們那邊了。雖然 Brazil 贏了比賽，但我支持 Croatia 的心仍然不變。(竟然有人指控我說是因為 Brazil 沒帥哥所以我喜歡 Croatia。開玩笑，你還把 Kaká 放在眼裡嗎? 另外，我覺得 Ronaldinho其實還蠻可愛的... >///
今天為了 Figure Skating ladies short program 捨棄了 Boston Legal (有錄下來啦)
我從美國的 Emily Hughes 開始看起，非常有活力又可愛的女孩，然後又看了日本的 Shizuka Arakawa, Fumie Suguri, 義大利的 Carolina Kostner, Silvia Fantana, 俄羅斯的 Irina Slutskaya 及最後美國的 Sasha Cohen。
今天大概就屬 Sasha Cohen 最受矚目（以美國來說），潛力與實力一向被看好的她常在比賽中失誤，大家都很期待她在今天能有很好的表現。當念到她的名字時，我就覺得有點耳熟，當鏡頭帶到她，我更是覺得似曾相識。我猜是去年 World Chanpionship 比賽我有看到她的表演。今天她的表現可圈可點，以0.03之差暫時擊敗 Irina Slutskaya。嗯，期待星期四.... 啊～星期四 Dancing with the Star 也是 final 耶 >
